Change Cost at runtime

    I have an issue that I would like to know if NavMesh Extension could solve. In the game, the player can throw an adhesive on the ground. This adhesive will always form a perfect circle, and can be thrown anywhere on the floor. I would like to, in this circle only, increase the cost of movement temporarily. Is this something I can do with NavMesh Extension?

    thank you for your question.

    NavMesh Extension let's you define custom NavMesh areas and allows for finding the shortest path to a destination, including portals - for baking the NavMesh however, the default Unity navigation window is being used (or the NavMeshSurface components in the latest version).

    If you would like to change the cost of a specific part on the NavMesh, then this is not something specific to our asset, but should be done using the default Unity components. What I mean is, this is not something NavMesh Extension can help you with - you can add an obstacle (with a cost) at runtime and rebake the NavMesh with standard Unity methods.
